Last night, I ran into a situation I found irritating. Please do not confuse irritation with harm or pain. Life is full of things we don't like, and dealing with it is Adulting 101. But, back to last night, I saw a notification on DA that another Deviant had mentioned me. I don't get many mentions, so I thought I was in for a pleasant surprise. It just didn't quite turn out that way. I followed the notification link and found that it was a post where the author expressed their opinion on A.I. art. They are not in favor of it and are frankly tired of seeing it. I have no issue with that. It's a valid opinion. What I have a problem with is they named several Deviants they used to like, including me, and stated, "Once those folks use digital 2D and 3D art, and pretty good Photoshop edits. But now a day they used A.I. to get their art done, and that's pretty boring and lost of effort for their artwork." That quote is an opinion based on assumption. It is not something I like, but they

Weird thought for the day... What if your OC developed a new power that's so potent its irresistible but so subtle no one including themselves even noticed? With my fixation on mind control and corruption, it's easy to see how something like the The Voice like Bene Gesserit of Dune have could cause chaos to villians and heroes alike. Especially so if the practitioner weren't aware they had that ability, let alone the training to use it correctly. There must be scores of abilities that fall into this category. Maybe a luck related power, or ability to broadcast emotional states from one person to others. What abilities do you imagine could be powerful but unnoticed? How would your OC react?
